Why is Chin Implant Not a Solution for Receding Chin?

Many people opt to have a mentoplasty because they feel that chin does not match their face, whether it is too small or too big. In the case of a receding chin the issue may be with your actual jaw line and not the chin itself. The first is a chin augmentation which is done with a silicone implant, usually inserted through an inconspicuous incision on the inside of the bottom lip. The second type of mentoplasty is a chin reduction in which one of our board certified surgeons will reshape the bone to a more aesthetically appealing size.
