Procedure

RADIESSE® is an injectable filler made up of collagen-inducing calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) suspended in a gel carrier. The gel works to immediately fill lines and wrinkles and plump up areas that have lost volume while the microparticles activate your body’s natural collagen production. The microparticles both stimulate the regeneration of fresh collagen and serve as scaffolding to support new collagen.

Expectation

On the day of your RADIESSE® treatment, you should come into PREMIERE Center for Cosmetic Surgery with a clean face, free of skincare products. While RADIESSE® treatments are virtually painless, we will apply a topical numbing cream to your face to ensure your comfort during the procedure.

After the numbing cream has taken effect, RADIESSE® is injected into the areas of your face that you wish to treat using a series of precise injections. After your RADIESSE® treatment is complete, you can immediately return to your daily activities. RADIESSE® requires no downtime for recovery, though you may want to avoid strenuous activities for a few days.

Results

You will see immediate results after your RADIESSE® treatment, with more visible volume and improved facial texture within the first few days. Over the next few weeks and months, you will notice a continued increase in facial volume and a decrease in lines and wrinkles. The process of collagen regrowth may continue for up to a year as healthy new collagen replaces the gel filler.

Associated Risks

RADIESSE® is considered safe; however, as with any cosmetic treatment, some minor side effects may occur. Some people may experience mild swelling, bruising, itching, or redness at the injection sites. These are common and will quickly resolve on their own.
